Description:
Enter a world of darkness, where rainbows are replaced by fire and brimstone, skillfully navigating the platforms that stretch unending through the deepest depths of the underworld. Collect imps as you go, leaping majestically from island to island and dashing through the perilous pentagrams that block your way. You have but three tries. Failure is inevitable.
Instructions:
Robot Unicorn Attack Heavy Metal is played with the keyboard.
Z - Jump. The longer you hold the Z button, the larger the jump arc. You can jump again in mid-air by pressing the Z button again.
X - Dash. Use dash to break through pentagrams that are in your path and score points.
You have three "nightmares." The goal is to get as many points as possible by smashing pentagrams and collecting imps as the game speeds up and becomes more difficult. If your unicorn hits a platform, pentagram or falls below the screen you'll lose a try. Your final score is the tally of the points you earned in those three nightmares.
Tips:
You can only jump twice in succession. Performing a dash after two jumps allows you to jump (or double-jump) in mid-air again if landing is treacherous or not possible.
The amount of points you get for collecting imps and dashing through pentagrams increases as you collect/dash through them in a row. The point values for imps start at 10 and increase by 10 points, pentagrams start at 100 and increase by 100. If you miss one, the next one you pick up or dash through will reset to the starting point values.
There's a split-second grace period as the dashing animation finishes where you will still dash through a pentagram. As the game gets faster, if you're thinking a pentagram may be placed at the end of a platform, it never hurts to just push dash and hope for the best.
If you hit the R key on the keyboard anytime before you die, you can retry a nightmare.
Hell fish appear every 5,000 points.
